Four years ago my life was forever changed when I was sent a care package by a more natural-minded baby skincare brand. I was using Johnson & Johnson on my daughter’s body and scalp – I cringe just thinking about that – and it was doing the job until I tried this other brand’s product. I was a little scared at how well it worked because it was *actually* taking off all the dead skin or layers of junk that J&J was adding to her skin. Her forehead was peeling like crazy but it wasn’t scary enough that I stopped. It was more of a “trust the process, her head is peeling from this new natural brand but I think I’ll try it once more to see what happens”. To my surprise, it didn’t happen again. It fully cleaned her head and did its job. Now that wasn’t super mind-blowing but that was one of the starting points that sent me down a rabbit hole journey into holistic living and later on health.

Fast forward to now and I’m a full-on “mindful mama” as the new cutesy term is. My husband would just call me crazy…he would never actually say that to me, but I know he thinks it! However, he did ask me if I could buy more Genexa acetaminophen for him since he gets a lot of pain in his body. I try to refrain from telling him how acetaminophen is terrible for you and it’s not only the red 40 in Tylenol I hate, but I’m just happy he wants the Genexa brand! Boy knows how to score points I’ll tell you that. haha.

Anyway, this isn’t a recipe blog where I tell you my life story before giving you the stuff you need. So without further ado below you will find the items in my medicine cabinet + a printable checklist if you want to start *doing more research on these* and adding them to your holistic health collection. I, along with my children and husband, were sick for two weeks recently and I didn’t use any modern medicine. Before this year I would have been so afraid to not use modern medicine. All the what ifs, especially with my children. However, I am super thankful there are brands out there that make clean medicine for children. I am thankful I can now trust my children’s bodies during high fevers to fight the virus instead of using medicine to suppress it. Ultimately, I trust how God made our bodies so perfectly. He gave us everything we needed in our bodies and on this earth to fight the diseases He knew would come from the sin that entered. Wherever you’re at on your holistic journey, I pray that you continue down this journey with eyes to see how great our God is too. Let go of the stress that often comes with these lifestyle changes and take it one day at a time. ❤️
