Two years ago my made my very first DIY doormat with some friends and ever since then I have been hooked! It’s so quick, easy and adds a cute touch to your front door! Who wouldn’t want to do this (and not have to spend a ton of money)?

Let me start off by saying, you don’t need a Cricut or Silhouette. I wanted to make this DIY as user-friendly as possible and not everyone has one of those. Although in 2020…it seems like everyone might. However, if you don’t you’ve come to the right place! And if you do, well, you have still come to the right place because you can do the same thing, but a little quicker with a Silhouette.

Items you will need:

Come in + Cozy up Download: If you would like to download the fonts I hand wrote and used you can click each link! Font 1: ComeinCozyup  Font 2: ComeinCozyup

Note: I used font 2. When cutting I slanted the z in Cozy a little more. My husband said it looked like an r…🙃

STEP 1: Get all your supplies ready!

The great thing about this DIY is that all these items should already be in your house! If not, they are so cheap! Who doesn’t love a cheap DIY?! 😍 *baby not necessary haha*

STEP 2: Print & Cut out your words!

Choose from my font or your own! The best sizing, that worked for me, was one word per page.

If you choose to draw your own font on Procreate or Adobe Fresco, the way I did it was I enlarged the whole graphic (all 4 words) and then moved all the words off the page except one. Then I would move the word off and move the next word on. That way all the words are scaled the same. If you scale each word to fit the page, the words will all be different sizes.

STEP 3: Pin paper down & Paint!

Pinning seemed the best option for me! Tape didn’t stick. Also, if you would like the font a little thicker, you can always cut it thicker!

Step 4: Violà! It’s Finished!

Lastly, just spray with an adhesive clear coat and you are finished! Now to style your front porch for Fall and Winter! 😊

Hope you loved this DIY! If you end up making one I would love it see it! You can tag me @brittani-krebbs on IG 😊
